Norma Swain, 75, of Tallahassee, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her home in Tallahassee. Norma was born March 22, 1938 in Perry, Fl, to Norman and Nellie (Hendry) Nabinger. Mrs. Swain graduated from Taylor County High and attended Louisiana State University. She retired from the State of Florida after 10 years, and retired from Lab Corp after 12 years. Mrs. Swain loved her dogs, Paco and Lucky, and enjoyed outside work which included gardening, planting and growing beautiful flowers. Mrs. Swain was a proud member of the Muskogee Indian Tribe of Taylor County, Fl. Mrs. Swain was preceded in death by her parents Norman Martin and Nellie Mae Nabinger , her husband Charles J. Swain, her son Rick Swain, her granddaughter Samantha Swain and grandson Lee Swain, and her sister Sarah Franklin. She is survived by two sons and four granddaughters and numerous grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held January 9, 2014 at Pisgah Cemetery in Perry, Fl. All arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home.
