VENERABLE LADY DIED AT HER HOME IN MINSTER ON LAST SUNDAY EVENING

Mrs. Bernadina Kramer passed away at her home in Minster after she had lived over a long span of years. She was the relict of the late J. B. Kramer and they lived a strenuous life together in this city for more than one half century. The husband was a vigorous businessman and he left his hand prints on the commercial screen. Mrs. Kramer was a princely woman who took into account her responsibility as the wife of a civic leader and by every act supported the high ideals that an ambitious husband fostered.

They lived a perfect marital life and when the husband passed away on Sept 13, 1926, the affections of the aged wife seemed to have been suddenly transferred to that far away realm which is the heritage of all. Fate permitted her to sit amidst the changes of this world for almost ninety years.

Mrs. Kramer and her late husband lived for a number of years on south Main street in this city and she died at that place at 9:30 o'clock Sunday evening, July 8, 1928. During their later years, they shared their home with their daughter, Miss Celia, and their son, Mr. Ben F. Kramer, who were daily attendants for them. There are also three other sons living in this city, namely, Fred, John and Anton Kramer. Mrs. Rose Olnhausen, another daughter, is a resident of Bowling Green, Ohio.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Adelmeyer and she was born on Sept 23, 1840, while her parents were occupying the residence that is now occupied by her son, Anton Kramer, and situated just south of her late home. She attained the age of 87 years, 9 months and 15 days and besides her sons and daughters, she is survived by twenty-four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, with other more distant relatives.

She was married to Mr. J. B. Kramer when she was twenty years of age. Death entered their family circle on three occasions previous to the passing of Mr. Kramer. One daughter, Mary, died in 1871, another daughter, Elizabeth, died in 1890, while one son, Henry, passed away in Oct of 1925.

The husband was identified with various business interests in this community for a long time and during a late period he was one of the owners of the Kramer company store. He and Mrs. Kramer enjoyed many events that referred to their long marital life, no more than the celebration of their golden wedding, which occurred on Oct 10, 1910.

The deceased was a member of St. Augustine congregation and her funeral was held at the church in this city on Wednesday morning with Rev. Sixtus Meyer, C.PP.S. in charge. She was also identified with St. Monica ladies' society and was one of its oldest members.
