Becky Drum Jones, age 80 of Forest City died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Autumn Care Center. She was born August 16, 1933 in Burke County and was a daughter of the late Ivey and Grace Hedrick Drum. Becky was a member of Florence Baptist Church, a graduate of Cool Springs High School and retired from Doncaster/Tanner Companies where she worked as a seamstress for thirty-nine years.
Survivors include her daughters, Kim Jones Lingelbach and Kristi Jones Germack both of Forest City and Kelly Jones Peyton of Rutherfordton, two sisters, Evelyn Pope of Valdese, NC, Geneva Jenkins of Forest City and six grandchildren, Mark Lingelbach, Matthew Lingelbach, Taylor Peyton, Tanner Peyton, Gillian Germack and Gracie Germack.
Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Sunday in the Florence Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
