John Pfannkuch, 50, of rural Concordia, MO, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to family choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born January 9, 1962 in Sweet Springs, MO, he was the son of the late James Martin Pfannkuch and Mary Ann McCannon Pfannkuch who survives of Concordia. He was raised in the Concordia area where he was a 1980 graduate of Concordia High School, and then attended Penn Valley Community College and University of Missouri- Rolla, where he earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for many corporations as a consultant, most recently working for the Sara Lee Company and Con-Agra Foods, as principal engineer. His free time was spent with his children and hunting.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Madalyn Pfannkuch and Ryan Pfannkuch, and their mother, Nancy Fordham all of Lee's Summit, MO; his siblings, Wilma Mueller of Sparta, WI, David Pfannkuch of Concordia, MO, and Alice Mistler of Centerview, MO; along with several nieces and nephews.
