Agnes Hurtig, 97

Funeral services were held here Monday for another of Patterson's pioneer residents. Agnes Hurtig died last Friday at Brandel Manor in Turlock. She was 97.

She was a native of Gully, Minn., who moved to Patterson with her family in 1914. She lived here until moving to Turlock seven years ago.

A homemaker, she was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. For a number of years she was very active in the church choir, the Ladies AID Club, and as a Sunday School teacher.

A graveside service was held Monday afternoon at Patterson District Cemetery, after which a memorial service was held at Our Savior's Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Adeline Rapp of Crows Landing and Vivian Walz of Sunnyvale; a son, Roy Hurtig of Anacortes, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Remembrances should be sent to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 650 W. Las Palmas Ave., Patterson.
