LETTS, Iowa - Ruth Ann Beaham, 67, Letts, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at Mercy Hospice Unit in Iowa City.
The Rev. Mary Howell will officiate the service.
Memorials may be left to Iowa City Hospice (Home Hospice) or the Mercy Hospice Unit.
The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Beaham was born Jan. 8, 1943, in Moline, Ill., the daughter of Robert J. and Marcella M. Olson McKillip. She married James L. Beaham Aug. 12, 1960, in Muscatine.
She had worked for 31 years at H.J. Heinz Co., and for six years at Colonial Manor. She also served as a volunteer at Colonial Manor up until her death.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, James L. Beaham Sr. of Letts; two sons, James L. Beaham Jr. and wife, Lisa of Letts, and Jesse E. Beaham of Cambridge, Mass; two grandchildren, Garret A. Beaham and Dustin L. Beaham; four brothers, James McKillip, Robert (McKillip) Moore, Wesley McKillip, and Ricky McKillip, all of Muscatine; six sisters, Madonna Kircher of Keithsburg, Ill., Eugenia (Jean) K. Brown of Illinois City, Ill., Ernestine Vande Weerd of Fort Worth, Texas, Vikki Coulter of Muscatine, Gail Boyle and Karen Staats, both of Iowa City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. McKillip and Marcella M. Olson McKillip Moore; a son, Michael D. Beaham; three sisters, Sharee L. McKillip, Joyce Noah, and Carolyn Beik; a brother, Mitchel R. McKillip.
