Ottis Roper, 73, of Fort Smith died Saturday, May 14, 2005, in his home. He was born February 29, 1932, in Scranton, Arkansas, and was a retired employee of Dixie Cup an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Spradling Baptist Church.

Funeral was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson Freewill Baptist Church in Scranton with burial at Wares Chapel Cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, three sons, two sisters, two brothers, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
