Anton Hergeth, age 85, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Siwatz, Yugoslavia, in 1928 to Rosalia (Kraj) and Abraham Hergeth.
Anton retired after more than 40 years at Transue & Williams Stamping Co. He loved to travel and was an avid gardener.
Survivors include his sister, Maria (Berthold) Wrann; a nephew; and nine nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Theresa (Mathias) Jesch and Katherine (George) Gergel.
There are no public services planned. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
