Robert Earl Larson, 83, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at his home in Woolstock. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove with Oscar Davis of the United Methodist Church officiating.

Robert Earl Larson was born August 3, 1917, on a farm near Webster City to Lars Bernhardt and Hazel Minnie Hill Larson. He was united in marriage to Irene Amelia Steffen on March 24, 1940, at Webster City. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 38 years before retiring in 1978. He also farmed in Woolstock for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Woolstock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene in 1985; two brothers; a sister; and a grandson.

Robert is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tim Larson of Des Moines, Linn and Judy Larson of Belmond; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; and five sisters.
