Irene A. Larson, 66, of Woolstock, died at the Clarion Community Hospital on Sunday after a long illness. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (today) Feb. 13, at the Woolstock Methodist Church. Visitation was after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; two sons, Tim, Urbandale, and Linn, Belmond; brothers, Warren Steffen, Des Moines, and Robert Steffen, Apple Valley, Minn.; sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Esther) Brock, Renwick; Mrs. John (Blanche) Hefley, Omaha, and Viola Neubaure, Waukee; and four grandchildren.

Irene A. Larson, daughter of Rufus and Ruth Millard Steffen, was born Feb. 3, 1919, on a farm near Britt, Iowa. She received her education in a rural school near Kanawha, Iowa. Irene was united in marriage to Robert Earl Larson of Eagle Grove on March 24, 1940 at Webster City, Iowa, and made their home in Eagle Grove where Mr. Larson was employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. The family lived in Eagle Grove until moving to their farm near Woolstock in 1962.

Irene and Earl became the parents of two sons, Tim and Linn, both of whom survive her; Tim of Urbandale, Iowa and Linn of Belmond, Iowa. Irene died at the Clarion Community Hospital on Sun., Feb. 10, at the age of 66 years and 7 days. In addition to her husband and sons, she is survived by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Larson; grandson, Joel; granddaughters, Janet, Jamie and Jodi; two brothers, Warren Steffen, Des Moines and Robert Steffen, Apple Valley, Minn.; and 3 sisters, Esther, Mrs. Gordon Brock, Renwick, Blanche, Mrs. John Hefley, Omaha, Neb., and Viola Neubauer, Waukee, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Sherrill Steffen.

Irene was a member of the United Methodist Church of Woolstock. Funeral services were held Wed., Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Woolstock. Rev. John J. Hembry officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
