Actor. He was born in Bayreuth, Germany. He debuted on stage in 1909. Soon, in 1915, he entered in cinema. In the following year he worked with movie director Ernst Lubitsch in his film "Schuhpalast Pinkus." Later, he appeared in Fritz Lang's "Metrópolis" and in 1927 with G.W. Pabst in his movie "Die Liebe der Jeanne Ney." He also played in the 1930s, in several Edgar-Wallace pictures, which were very popular in Germany. His successful appearance was with the television production "Lina Braake" at Lina Carstens side. He died in Gräfelfing, Germany.
