Christina Henne was born January 31, 1900 in South Russia to John and Christina Henne and came to the United States as a young child with her parents. They settled in the Coleharbor, North Dakota area and this is where she was educated. She married Eduard J. Rivinius December 4, 1919, in Coleharbor. They settled in the Coleharbor area and farmed there until moving into Coleharbor in 1936. At that time, Ed opened up the Rivinius Standard Oil service station. In 1945, they moved to Bismarck where the family lived until Christina passed away on Sunday, February 28, 1982, at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. She had been in ill health since July. She was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church and of the Burleigh County Senior Citizens. Survivors include her husband, Ed; two sons, Benjamin and Martin, both of Bismarck, ND; two daughters, Mrs. Homer (Erna) Zimmerman of Oakesdale, Washington, and Mrs. Edna Becker of Hettinger, ND; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grand-children; and one sister, Mrs. Albert (Emilia) Engel of Garrison.
