A nursery owner and a member of the Baptist faith, she died February 2. She was born September 11, 1930 in Gordo, Ala.
She is survived by her husband Atley Dean; sons Ralph (Teresa) Dyer of Panama City, Fla., Cliff (Tracy) Walley of Lucedale; daughters Judy Gore, Vicki Blue, Jill (Glenn) Read, Nancy (Mitch) Goff, all of Lucedale; stepdaughters Sherrie Dean, Lynda (Trey) Bobinger, both of Jackson; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother David Jay Jenkins of Middleport, Ohio; and sisters Christine Acton of Livingston, Ala. and Betty Louise Barrett of West Columbia, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her son Thomas Mark Dyer, sons-in-law Terry Leroy Gore and William Carl Blue, grandsons T.J. Gore and Tad Gore, parents J.B. and Hattie Jenkins and brothers James Jenkins and Bill Jenkins.
Pallbearers included Ronnie Taylor, Matt Dyer, Jeremy Walley, Justin Read, Ben Walley, Justice Holifield and Zeb McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers were Calvin Taylor and Lonnie Parsons.
George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
