Veronica M. Olerich, 67, of Lake View, passed away at Loring Hospital, Sac City, on Thursday, September 13.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 15. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wall Lake with Msgr. J.E. Tolan officiating. Interment was made in the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of Farber-Otteman Funeral Home of Lake View.
Casket bearers were James Smith, Dale Olerich, Thomas Olerich, Ronnie Venteicher, Allan Venteicher, and Dennis Janning.
Veronica Olerich was born in Breda, Iowa on July 21, 1912, the daughter of Ben and Mary Lammers Janning. She was married to Clarence Olerich on September 29, 1931, at Mt. Carmel, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Olerich, of Lake View; and the following sons and daughters: Loretta Carnes, LeRoy Olerich and Louis Olerich, all of Lake View; Marcella (Mrs. Gary) Smith, Elkhorn, Nebr.; Larry Olerich, Lake View; Robert Olerich and Nora (Mrs. Gary) Collins of Sac City. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren; one brother, Urban Janning of Carroll; and four sisters: Martha (Mrs. Leonard) Hoffman, and Leona (Mrs. Albert) Venteicher, both of Carroll; Adeline Autheino of Gainesville, Tex.; and Laura (Mrs. Paul) Heue of Vail.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ed Janning.
