Of Lemberg, Sask., and of late Balcarres, Sask., widow of Philip Ruecker and Bill Brons, died at the age of 95 years. The funeral service will be held in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Lemberg, Sask., on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Lemberg Cemetery. Predeceased by her first husband in 1949, her second husband in 2000, her son Elmer Ruecker in 1995 as well as her siblings, nieces and nephews. Lydia is survived by four children: Paul (Fern) Ruecker, Lemberg, Sask.; Bill (Ruth) Ruecker, Calgary, Alta.; Lillian (Tom) Galera, Hawaii and Marlene (Alvin) Frick, Duff, Sask. Daughter in law, Barbara Ruecker, Regina, Sask. Her grandchildren: Scott (Teri) Ruecker and their daughter, Paige; Tammy (Scott) Acton; Troy (Amy) Frick, and their family, Bret, Alexis and Talon; Laura Frick (and friend Maurice); Ron (Joanne) Ruecker, and their son, Eric (Melanie) and their family, Sacha and Mila; Lorraine Patterson (and friend Ken); and her family, Shawn and Erin; Dr. Stanley Ruecker (and friend Susan); Lori (Greg) Plater and their family, Taryn and Cole; and Dawn (Ed) Wright; Brother Gus Hennig, Regina, Sask. Lydia is also survived by her nieces, nephews and their families. If friends so desire, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, Sask., S4P 2R3 or to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lemberg, Sask., S0A 2B0 may be tokens of remembrance.
