With many loving memories, the family of Charlie Mass of Lemberg announces his passing. Charlie grew up on the family farm and continued farming until his retirement in 1988. Charlie loved to farm and even years after his retirement was still found out in the fields, lending a helping hand to his family and friends. Charlie had several other loves in his life curling, hunting, fishing and spending time at the lake to name a few. His greatest joy however was his family. Charlie was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Appreciating the unique qualities that each possessed, his grandchildren were his world. He looked forward to every moment they could share. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Eleanor; son, Randy (Birgit) of Yorkton; daughters, Lorna Goruick (Brad) of Regina and Shelly (Brad) Krahenbil of Lemberg; six grandchildren, Alexander and Annika Mass, Milayna Goruick and Christopher, Brendan and Devin Krahenbil. Also survived by his siblings, brother Wilfred (Lillian) Mass; sisters Ida Nickell, Helen Hodel, Hilda Kohlert; sisters in law, Elsie Mass and Doreen Mass. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers John (Alma), Leo, Albert and sisters Goldie (Rudy) Mebs and Erna (Ernie) Heinrich; brothers in law John Nickell, Ervin Hodel and Ernest Kohlert. Funeral Service will be held in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Lemberg, on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Officiant Rev. David Hanes. Visitation for anyone wishing will be held in the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. Charlie will be laid to rest in the Lemberg Cemetery.
