Victoria -- Funeral services for Alex Amrein, 73, a retired farmer of the Victoria community, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Fidelis Church here. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at Cline's Mortuary after 7 p.m. today.
Amrein died at 11 p.m. Tuesday in the Good Samaritan Center at Ellis. He was born in Pfeifer, Russia.
His wife Margaret preceded him in death in February 1967.
The couple moved to Victoria in 1947 from a farm in Northwest Kansas.
Survivors include three sons, John F. of Elgin, Ill., Albert G. of Phillipsburg, and George A. Amrein of Ellis; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Isabelle) Sander of Elgin, Ill., and Mrs. Cletus (Rose Mary) Younger of Great Bend.
