Less than 4 months later, Sophia married Philip Wolf on 31 Oct 1887 in St Paul, Minnesota. They had 1 daughter, Marie Wolf (Wolfe) born 9 1/2 months later on 18 Aug 1888. Unfortunately Marie would never know her father, as Philip died 6 June 1888, 2 months before Marie was born. Their marriage only lasted a little over 7 months.
Sophia's time with her children was also cut short. She died 22 April 1891, when Marie was only 2 1/2.
After Sophia and Philip died, all 3 children went to live with Tobias and Mary Eller in St Paul Minnesota. [One of the witnesses of her marriage to Philip Wolf in 1887 was Tobias Eller]. Mary (Brachell) Eller may have been related to Sophia Kohler. Mary Eller, Stephan and Titus are all listed in some census records as having been born in Bohemia. Mary Wolf is listed as a niece of Tobia Eller in 1900 census. Stephan and Titus are listed as stepsons.

Mrs. Sophie Wolf was found dead in front of her residence, on James street, yesterday by neighbors. The lady was subject to fits of epilepsy, and from the indications had been taken with a fit during the night, falling dead while making an effort to get help. The deceased was a widow, forty seven years old and the mother of three children.
