Eureka - The funeral for Myron G. Huber, 74, of Eureka will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Eureka. Visitation is Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Straub's Funeral Home and one hour prior to the church service. He is survived by his wife, Viola; five sons, Gary Huber of Aberdeen, Clyde Huber of Frederick, Dennis (Brenda) Huber of Eureka, Alan (Donna) Huber of Rapid City, Jason (Sandra) Huber of Sioux Falls; two daughters, Carol (Andrew) Rohrbach of Eureka and Nancy (Chad) Weeks of Maple Grove, Minn.; five sisters, Ruth Foley of Medford Ore., Esther (Wilfred) Bauer of Bismarck, N.D., Violet (Victor) Reede of Zeeland, N.D., Bernese Levi of Zeeland, N.D., Phyllis Halbert of Dayton, Ohio; one brother Leo Huber, of Zeeland, N.D.; 15 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. Myron was born to Gustav Elizabeth (Oschner) Huber on Nov. 27, 1931, at rural Emmons County, N.D. He married Viola Wiedmeier on June 16, 1957, at Hoffnungstal Lutheran, rural Eureka. They made their home on a farm six miles west of Zeeland, N.D., from 1957 to 1990, after which they moved to Eureka in 1990. He enjoyed gardening, checkers, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Zion Lutheran in Eureka and served on the Zeeland School Board. Casketbearers will be Jeremy Huber, Josh Huber, Chris Huber, Kent Huber, Calvin Huber, Steven Huber, Gene Guttormson and Andy Guttormson. Pastor Dean Nelson will officiate. Lana Hilgemann will be the organist.
