Leo William Huber, 83, of Zeeland died Dec. 17, 2005, in Wishek.

Leo was born April 8, 1922, on a farm six miles west of Zeeland. He grew up and attended rural school. Leo farmed with his parents. He entered the U.S. Army in 1946, served in Japan. After his discharge he farmed with his brother, Myron, until retiring and moving into Zeeland.

He spent a short time in the Wishek Nursing Home.

Leo was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Zeeland American Legion, and Sexton of the Lutheran Cemetery. He enjoyed watching baseball. Myron's children always considered him a second father.

Grateful to have shared his life are five sisters and two brothers-in-law: Ruth Foley of Medford, Ore., Esther and Wilfred Bauer of Bismarck, Violet and Victor Reede of Zeeland, Bernese Levi of Zeeland, and Phyllis Halbert of Dayton, Ohio; one sister-in-law: Viola Huber of Eureka, S.D., and thirty-six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Myron and Norbert, two sisters, Ella Guttormson and Claudia Nelson and one niece, Sharon Benson.

Funeral services were at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Zeeland. The organist was Cindy Levi. Casketbearers were Gary Huber, Allen Huber, Clyde Huber, Jason Huber, Dennis Huber and David Levi.

Burial was in the church cemetery.
