Former Lodi Resident Passes In Santa Cruz
Mrs. Marie Barth, former resident of Lodi, passed away Friday in Santa Cruz, Calif., following a long illness. She was 57 years of age.
Mrs. Barth, a native of Manchester, Indiana, first came to Lodi in 1918 with her late husband, Otto Barth, who passed away here in 1940. During the time she lived in Lodi, Mrs. Barth was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Mission Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society in Santa Cruz.
Mrs. Barth leaves two sons, Arthur J. Barth, and Dennis Barth, of Santa Cruz, and two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Asher of Sonora and Mrs. Mary Ellen Bartlett of Vallejo.
She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henry Bellman and Mrs. Adolph Lutz, both of Lodi and two brothers, Herbert Wolf of Iowa, and the Rev. Carl Wold of Baltimore, Maryland.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Lodi Cemetery under the direction of Hale & Bawden Funeral Home.
