William migrated to America with his two sisters, Minna and Louise, and his mother, Dorothea on the ship Main. His older sister, Mary, had previously migrated to America in 1884, shortly after her marriage to William Strecker. William's father, Andrew Bach, chose to stay in Germany where he is buried. The Bach family left Bremen, Germany and sailed to Baltimore, MD arriving on the 8th of June 1886. After arriving they traveled westward until arriving near Rulo, Nebraska where Mary and William had settled on a farm.
In December 1897, William was married to Mrs. Anna Fisher. Mrs. Bach died December 19, 1943 and since then he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Tobe Lollman of the Salem area.
Besides Mrs. Lollman, he is survived by three sons, Ralph Bach, St. Joseph, Harry Bach, Rulo, and Raymond Bach, Morrill, a sister, Miss Minna Bach, Cedar Falls, Iowa, three step-sons, John Fisher, Nampa, Idaho, Emmett Fisher, Rulo, and Wm. Fisher, Shubert, a step-daughter, Mrs. Earl Kyle, Sabetha; 12 grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body is at Reavis & Macomber's funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. H. C. Cordts. Burial will be in Steele cemetery.
Henry Schock, George Zimmerman, Otto Zimmerman, Herbert Schmidt, August Becker and Paul Mathes will serve as pallbearers.
