Mrs. Ethel Bertha Bounds
OJAI - Mrs. Ethel Bertha Bounds, 79, of 1243 Cruzero street, died this morning at her home. Her death followed her husband's, Obie Roy Bounds, by just four days. Mr. Bounds died Tuesday in his home following a brief illness.
Mrs. Bounds was born June 24, 1883, in Topeka, Kansas. She had lived in Ventura County for 37 years. Her death came after several months of an illness.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Peirano of Oak View, Mrs. Fern Clark of Connecticut, and Mrs. Catherine Fowks of Los Alamitos and a son, Roy in Sumatra, one brother, Lyle Hammond of Ketchikan, Alaska; three sisters, Mrs. Alan Drury of Davenpark, Wash., Mrs. Grace Thomas of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Erma Rudolph of La Crosse, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Nora Adams will read The Christian Science services at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura. Cremation will follow at Ivy Lawn Cemetery
