Howard A. Koegel, 73, of 103 Village Drive, Syracuse, died Saturday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Syracuse, Mr. Koegel had resided in Liverpool most of his life before moving to Syracuse a year ago. He retired in 1985 after 35 years of employment with Clark Concrete.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Koegel was a member of the Liverpool American Legion Post 188 and the Baldwinsville Moose Lodge 644.
Surviving are his wife, Laura; two daughters, Barbara Burke of Baldwinsville and Shirley Crosby of Syracuse; two sons, Howard of Syracuse and John Hansen of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Richard of Baldwinsville; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Maurer Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. The Liverpool American Legion will conduct services 7:30 p.m. today.
