She was born on September 21, 1945 in Lauf, Germany, a daughter of Hilary and Aniela (Janicki) Brzozowski.
Christine married Arden G. Roehl on June 27, 1970 in Princeton.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. She was formerly employed at Barnekow's Supper Club, Lantern's Supper Club, Mel's Supper Club, and Norton's as a waitress. Christine enjoyed reading, writing short stories and watching movies. She loved nature and bird watching.
Christine is survived by her husband, Arden Roehl of Princeton; her son, Adam A. (Christine S.) Roehl of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Hannah M. Roehl and Jacob S. Roehl; 2 brothers, Roman (Marie) Brzozowski of Skokie, IL, Stan (Nadine) Brzozowski of Niles, IL; 2 sisters, Sophie (Joe) Cesna of Niles, IL, Helen (Art) Sina-Dietz of Markesan; good friends, Judy Radomski and Melody Pulvermacher; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilary and Aniela Brzozowski; grandson, Samuel A. Roehl; father and mother in law, Alfred and Elaine Roehl; brother, Steve Brzozowski; sister in law, Celina Brzozowski – Scolerio; 3 brothers in law, Frank Sina, Alfred Roehl Jr., Kenneth Roehl; and other relatives.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 4 to 8 pm at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 W. Harvard St. in Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial for Christine Roehl will take place on Friday, July 1, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton with Father Dale Grubba officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Princeton City Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
