Mrs George Hans, seventy-five years old, died at 7:30 oclock Sunday morning at her residence in Bremen following an illness of three weeks.
Mrs Hans maiden name was Laura Conrad. She was a daughter of Jacob and Anna (Bliss) Conrad and was born near the Hepton neighborhood August 25, 1864. She had lived in this community all her life.
On January 15, 1893, she was united in marriage with George Hans, who preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives are one daughter, Mrs Ellis Brown; two brothers, Jacob Conrad of Mishawaka and William Conrad of Hepton; one sister, Mrs Carrie Lightner of Detroit, Mich.
Funeral services were held at two oclock Wednesday afternoon at the Brown residence. Rev M O Herman, pastor of Salem Evangelical church, officiated in the service and burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
