Emma Lang, 85, of Lodi died March 19 at a local convalescent hospital. She was born on Jan. 5, 1912 in Streeter, N.D.
Mrs. Lang was raised in Streeter and moved to Lodi in 1936 where she married Gust Lang.
She was employed as an elementary school teacher for four years in Streeter. She later was employed by the San Joaquin County Health Department for 14 years as a branch manager of the Lodi office. She retired in 1976.
Mrs. Lang was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi and the Ladies Circle at the church.
Mrs. Lang is preceded in death by her husband, Gust Lang, in 1996.
Mrs. Land is survived by a son; two brothers, a sister and a granddaughter.
