Vivian Hermann Scholz, a Driscoll, Texas resident, age, 73 passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013.
Vivian was born on September 9, 1939 to Oscar and Leona Hermann in Lissie, Texas.
She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Dorcas Circle in Bishop, Texas. Vivian retired from Texas A& I University as the athletic secretary after 31 years of service. After her retirement she volunteered with the Javelina Booster Club for the past five years. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, George Hugo Scholz, her infant son, Michael Scholz, and her parents.
Vivian is survived by her son, Glenn Scholz of Driscoll, brother, Martin Herman (Lois) and sister, Christine Owen, both of Eagle Lake, Texas, niece, Shanon Herman, nephew, Steven Herman, one great-niece, and two great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bishop with Rev. Matthew Ulmer. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Bishop.
Memorial contributions may be made to Texas A&M Kingsville Athletic Scholarship Fund, MSC 202 A&M University, Kingsville, Texas 78363.
Arrangements are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas 78363.
