William C. Linsmeier, 90, a resident of Birch Creek Road, Menominee, MI passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.

Born on March 22, 1918, in Menominee MI to the late Peter and Barbara (Bayerl) Linsmeier, he married the former Evelyn Chaltry on June 19, 1948 in Menominee. She preceded him in death on Oct. 21, 2003.

He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a lifetime 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a mink farmer in Menominee County and later worked for L.E. Jones Company for 12 years, retiring in 1981.

Among survivors are three sons: William (Nancy) Linsmeier, Russell (Shelly) Linsmeier and Scott (Cindy) Linsmeier, all of Menominee, MI; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer (Lois) Linsmeier of Menominee, MI; two sisters, Marion Menacher and Elizabeth Anglehart, both of Marinette, WI and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Micky; a daughter, Mary; a grandson, Anthony and two brothers, Peter and Robert.

Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. Fr. Robb Jurkovich officiated and burial was in Birch Creek Cemetery.
