Augusta Wilhelmine Nicklaus was born Oct. 21, 1891, baptized on Nov. 8, 1891, to Herman Nicklaus and Christine Bader. Sponsors were Wilhelmine Boruitzki/Bornitzki and Pauline Gesch.

She married Fred Herman Matschikowsky on 5/26/1920.
Marriage record shows that Fred Matschikowsky married Augusta Nicklaus on May 26, 1920, Rev. H. Weseloh at Immanuel Church, presiding.

Fred was born on 7/6/1888 and died 8/28/1938. He was a laborer at Upson Nut. The name was later shortened to Marsh and then to Makowski. They had 2 children: Norman Frederick and Lois Edith.
