Mr. Pitsch was born Jan. 1, 1881 in Dittel, Russia. He married Katherine Hettinger in Dittel in October 1902.
They came to the United States in 1903 and spent a year in Sterling, Colo. before coming to Billings. They came to Hardin in 1920. Before 1939 they spent a short time in Sheridan County, Wyo.
He was a member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow in Sheridan: four sons, Andrew Pitsch and Peter Pitsch, Jr. of Garryowen, Arthur Pitsch of Dunmore and Alex Pitsch of Ucross, Wyo; his daughter, Mrs. Henry Cook of Irvington, Calif., His brother, Andrew Pitsch of Harlem; 22 grandchildrenand 23 great-grandchildren.
