DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Monica M. Jasper, 90, of Dyersville, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville, following a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Jerry Kopacek and Deacon Dan Hoeger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

She was born on May 25, 1915, in Dyersville, daughter of Clem and Josephine (Wuchter) Fangman.

She married Emil Jasper on April 18, 1934, in Dyersville; he preceded her in death in 1978.

Monica was a homemaker and helped cater many weddings and funeral dinners.

She enjoyed spending hours quilting.

Surviving are a daughter, Gladys Hoeger, of Dyersville; two sons, Loyd (Carol) Jasper, of Dyersville, and Kenneth (Margie) Jasper, of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Dan (Rose) Hoeger and Dean (Cindy) Hoeger, both of Cedar Rapids, Neal (Linda) Hoeger, Duane Jasper and Glen (Kris) Jasper, all of Dyersville, Nancy (Rick) Heim, of Farley, Kevin (Courtney) Jasper, of Highland, Mich., and Janet (Jamie) Hogan, of Round Lake Beach, Ill.; and 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and Joe Fangman; two sisters, Eulalia Jasper and Olivia Ham; and a son-in-law, Tony Hoeger.
