Hubert H. Fangman

DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- Hubert H. "Hub" Fangman, 82, of Dyersville, died after a long illness Sunday May 8, 1994, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home.

Services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 pm Tuesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 7:30 pm.

Mr. Fangman was the founder and operator of Hub's Motor Service in Dyersville.

He was born on May 23, 1911, in Dyersville, son of Clem X. and Josephine (Wuchter) Fangman. He married Mildred Theresa Steger on April 25, 1933, in Dyersville; she died on May 23, 1988.

Surviving are three sons, Gilbert (and Cookie) Fangman of Earlville, LaVerne (and Gerilyn) Fangman and Ronald Fangman, both of Dyersville; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Monica Jasper of Dyersville.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Melvin; a brother, Joe; and two sisters, Eulalia Jasper and Olivia Ham.

A Hubert H. Fangman Memorial Fund has been established.
