According to Germanic naming customs, Anna Margaretha Loeffel/Spoon would not have been known as Anna, but solely as Margaretha or Margaret. If a
child is given two names, the first is his saints name and he never uses it except in formal documents like church baptismal records. He ALWAYS goes by
his middle name. If the child is given only one name, Johannes, then that is
both his saints name and his common name.

So Anna Margaretha Loeffel was always known as Margaretha and her mother, Maria Barbara Wittner would have been known solely as Barbara. So on any land deeds, look for Christian and Barbara Loeffel, not Christian and Maria
Loeffel.
