David Kuhr, Formerly of Shawano, age 65, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2009, at his residence. He was born on May 13, 1944, in Neenah, son of the late Howard W. and Margaret M. (Schultz) Kuhr. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 until he was honorably discharged in 1966 with a rank of E-4. David enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Dave will be missed by his children: Tony Kuhr, Tom Kuhr and Brad (Ellen) Kuhr. He is further survived by his loving companion, Judy Hein; sisters: Diane Grimmer, Susie Kuhr, Christine (Louie) Christensen; sisters-in-law, Judy Kuhr, Karen Kuhr; mother of Tony and Tom, Rachel Kuhr; mother of Brad, Marie Burow; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Dave was also preceded in death by three brothers: Ronald, Thomas, Gerald; and a sister, Carol Ann.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009, at St. Margaret Cemetery, within Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Legion prayers and Military Rites will be performed by American Legion William Verhagen Post # 60 of Kimberly.
