He was born Oct. 28, 1902 in Loveland. He served in the U.S. Army in World Was I. He married Anna Margaret Krieger Dec. 21, 1921 in Loveland. She died Dec. 26, 1981.
He lived in the area all his life. He was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, Collins Lodge No. 19 A.F. & A.M., Shriners and was active in lodge activities.
He survived by sons LeRoy Hofferber, Melvin Hofferber of Fort Collins, Donald, Arvada, and Walter Hofferber, Grand Juction; brother Paul Hofferber, Lakewood; sister Alvina Lebsack, Loveland, Anna Krieger Littleton, and Lidia Hock and Doris Pearson, Los Angeles, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Plymouth Congregational Church, 916 West Prospect, Fort Collins, with the Rev. Fred Edmonds officiating.
Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park.
Contributions may be made to the Plymouth Congregational Church memorial Fund in care of Warren-Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins 80524
