Carol Ann Sisterman, 71, of Warrenton, died on Sunday May 26, 2013 at Fauquier Hospital with her family at her side.
She was born to the late Rene and Rita Bihler on February 10, 1942 in Holyoke, MA. Carol graduated from Holyoke High School in 1960. She married John Sisterman in 1966 and lived in Holyoke for two years before moving to England with her husband and son, John R. For the next 16 years she lived in various locations where her husband was employed before settling in Warrenton in 1985.
Carol worked as a licensed beautician while she lived in Holyoke. She started working as a deli clerk for Giant food store in Warrenton when it opened in 1986. She retired after 21 years and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John B. Sisterman, three children: Mark (Leti) Sisterman, Jennifer (Brette) Arbogast, and Geoffrey Sisterman; brothers, Kenneth Bihler, Robert Bihler, Richard Bihler and Rene Bihler. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Brooke Arbogast, Kirsten Arbogast, Brycen Arbogast, Aedan Sisterman, Harmony Sisterman, Gavin Sisterman and Alyssa Sisterman. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, John R.
A viewing will be held at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton from 9:00 until 10:00 am on Thursday, May 30th followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be at Bright View Cemetery.
