Edmund Heinle, 80, Glen Ullin, formerly of Hebron, died January 2, 2003, a resident of Marion Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin.

Edmund "Shorty" Heinle was born December 8, 1922, in rural Hebron, son of Adolph and Magdalena (Staiger) Heinle. He was raised and educated in rural Hebron. He worked for his uncle and at home until his marriage. On September 1, 1945 he married Esther Waltz at Hebron. Following marriage he bought his father's farm, which he operated until 1991, when he retired and moved into Hebron. In February 2002 he moved to Marion Manor in Glen Ullin where he had resided since.

Edmund is survived by his wife, Esther; daughters, Jackie (Kevin) Carty,and Marcy (Brian) Carty; son, David (Bobbi) Heinle; seven grandchildren; brother, Ben Heinle; sisters, Esther Schneider, and Agnes Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandra; brothers, Edwin, Richard, Arnold and Emil.
