Sebastian was born in the town of Randersacker, Wurzburg, Bavaria, Germany in the year 1853. He was a son of Ignatius Englert (1810-1854) and Katharina Rottenbucher (1815-1882).

He married Emilia Hoffmann on May 30, 1877 in Randersacker.

They raised 3 children in Germany;
1. Barbara Theresa Englert (Kaltenbach) 1878-1950.
2. Francis X. Englert 1879-1938.
3. Leon Englert 1881-

Sebastian died at the age of 47 years, 6 months and 9 days.
He was accidently killed when his arm got mangled in a machine and it had to be amputated, but unfortunately he was so weak from loss of blood that he expired. Death Register #026930. He was buried on Oct. 18, 1900.
