Albert Grote, 62, an associate in the Charles C. Grote Roofing Co. at 1997 Madison Road, Walnut Hills, died Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. The firm was founded in the 1870's by his father, Christopher Grote.
Mr. Grote had been associated in the firm with his brothers, Charles, Walter and Fred. His home was at 1913 Pogue avenue.
He had served in the Marines during World War I.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Edith Quatman Grote; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Becker, Cincinnati; a sister, Mrs. Laura Lakeman, Walnut Hills, and one grandchild.
Requiem High Mass will be intoned at 9 a.m. Friday at Holy Angels Church, Walnut Hills. The Bamber funeral home is in charge. Burial will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery.
