Sophia was born in Hildburghhausen, Bavaria, Germany. Sophia is somehow related to Anna Margaret Schaller, this is stated in various family reports. The online Broken Bow Historical Society information states that her name is Sophia Schaller, not Schwesinger. So perhaps she was a Schaller and married a Schwesinger before marrying John, or vice versa. No records yet to prove either way.
Don't know when she immigrated from Germany to America but would guess she came with or followed Andrew and George Schaller, since she ended up in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. She met John Schreyer there and they married in 1863. See John's notes, they moved with the Frederick Schreyer family to Indiana, then settled next to him in Custer, Nebraska. Children: Julia, Frederica Rachel, Earnest, Walter, Pauline, Carolina.
