Funeral services were conducted here Thursday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church with the pastor, the Rev. R. Einspahr, officiating. A quartet composed of Mrs. Arlan Rathe, Mrs. J.W. Wagner, Franz Zander, and Glen Schmelzer sang "Rock of Ages" and "The Lord Is My Shepherd." Miss Susan Smith served as organist. Pallbearers were Clarence Barth, Ira Barth, Willis Barth, Harvey Bauer, John Bauer Jr., and Leslie Hock. Burial was in the Culbertson cemetery with the Herrmann Funeral Home in charge.
The deceased, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hock, was born at Hyde, Colorado on May 15, 1896. She was married to Carl J. Fahrenbruch in McCook on February 21, 1917.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Fahrenbruch is survived by three sons, Adolph of Trenton; Elmer of Culbertson; and Alvin of Denver; one daughter, Mrs. Rachel Steinke of Manning, Iowa; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, George Hock of McCook; and Harry Hock of Beatrice, Nebraska; and three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Barth; Mrs. John Bauer Sr.; and Miss Mollie Hock, all of Culbertson.
