HELMICH—In this city. Dec. 29, 1953. Cornelius Helmich, husband of the late Hilda King Helmich, father of Mrs. Catherine Terpening, Sgt. 1/c John Helmich, Walter K. Helmich, James Helmich and Peter Helmich.
Cornelius Helmich of St. Remy; in this city early this morning after a long illness. He had been a resident of St. Remy for many years and was a charter member of the St. Remy Fire Department. He had been employed as a butcher
for 25 years by the Forst Packing Co. of this city until his retirement six years ago. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Terpening, of St. Remy, Sgt. 1/c John Helmich, USA now at Camp Kilmer, N.J., Walter K. Helmich, of Eddyville: James Helmich of Beacon and Peter Helmich of St. Remy. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Friends may call any time after Wednesday noon at the W.N. Conner Funeral Home, Inc. where funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec 31, 1953 at 1 p.m. Interment in St. Remy Cemetery.
