Christopher Fuchs, 66 years old, a farmer of Union Township, died shortly before 2 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been removed following a railroad accident on the Wabash at Lakeville, March 30. Death resulted from gangrene, which set in following amputation of a leg.
Surviving are three sons, Charles, Louis and William, all of Union Township, one daughter, Mrs. R.G. Annis, of Lakeville, one brother, Charles, and one sister, Catherine, both of Union Township.
He was born in Union Township May 6, 1851.
The funeral will be held from the residence in Union Township Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Waldemar Goffeney officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeville Cemetery.
