Charles Adam Fuchs, aged 93, 401 Lincoln Way West, died at 6 o'clock Sunday morning in his residence after a long illness. He was born in Arzberg, Germany, May 29, 1842, and lived here six years, coming from Center township where he settled with his parents when he was aged seven. The family crossed the Atlantic in a sailing vessel, requiring 42 days for the passage. He was married in Mishawaka in 1873, to Wilhemina Meyer, who died in 1933 in Mishawaka. He leaves two sons, George B. Fuchs, of Center Township, and C.J. Fuchs of Ames, IA.; three daughters, Mrs. H.C. Matthews, of Center township, Mrs. A. B. Crofoot and Miss Edith Fuchs, of Mishawaka; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was the last of his family.

The funeral will take place in the residence at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Waldemar Goffeney, of Zion Evangelical church, South Bend, in charge. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
