Leola "Ole" Mueller, age 97, of Columbus, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Cottonwood Home in Columbus.

Leola "Ole" Mueller was born February 2, 1917 in rural Platte County near Oconee, Nebraska to William and Louise (Seefeld) Krumland. She received her education at rural Platte County Schools, Immanuel Lutheran and Kramer High in Columbus. Leola married Oscar Mueller on June 12, 1940 in Columbus. She worked at the Lutheran Hospital in Columbus. Along with raising her family she also worked on the family farm. Leola was a member of St. Lukes-UCC. She was a member of the Ladies Swiss Maennerchor and volunteered at the American Legion. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Leola is survived by:
Daughter: Linda (Dale) Fuchs of Columbus
Son: Jack (Wendy) Mueller of Denison, Texas
2 Granddaughters: Amy (Mike) Czarnick of Silver Creek, Nicole (Jeff) Nitz of Columbus
5- Great Grandchildren: Josh (Jessica Ross) Czarnick, Lucas Czarnick, Sara Czarnick, Jared Nitz, Lauryn Nitz
2- great great granddaughters: Aryn and Payton
Brother-in-law: Kenneth Groff of California
Brother-in-law: Leroy (Shirley) Mueller of Columbus
Sister-in-law: Viola Schmid of Columbus
and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Oscar, sister: Frances Groff, brothers: Elton, Willis and Harlan Krumland.
