KRUMLAND - Willis Walter Krumland, Gerrard Courts, Columbus, died unexpectedly Monday night. He was 56.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. M.W. Goldhammer officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Visiting hours are after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until noon Thursday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of services at the church Thursday.
He was born July 13, 1922 in Platte County to William and Louise (Seefeld) Krumland and graduated from Columbus (Kramer) High School. He was married to Eleanor P. Mahlin on February 6, 1976 and lived in Columbus.
He was a retired automobile salesman and was president of Columbus Farm and Storage Company. He served in World War II.
A life member of VFW, he served as Past Commander of American Legion, past member of Columbus Fire Department, Fraternal Order of Eagles, past member of city council, Columbus. He belonged to the International Lutheran Laymen's league.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; children by previous marriage, sons, Gary E. Columbus, Thomas W. Englewood Colo.; daughter, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Williams, Glendora, Calif.; brothers, Elton W., Harlan L., Columbus; sisters Mrs. Oscar (Leola) Mueller, Columbus, Mrs. Kenneth (Frances) Graff, Blyth [sic], Calif.; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, Ginger Zabka, Santee, Calif., Nancy Schultz, Mel Mahlin, Col., Onno Mahlein, US Navy; 15 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family suggest memorials to the Heart Fund.
