The funeral service for Jacob Borgens, 71, of 405 8th St. N.E., who died Wednesday in General hospital, will be conducted by Rev. F.W. Snyder, Saturday at 2 p.m.
Mr. Borgens was born in Alexanderdorf, Russia and came to Winnipeg in 1903 and to Calgary four years later.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. M. F. Wade; four sons, E. W. Borgens, Charles, Victor and Walter, all of Calgary; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Schmidt of Calgary and Mrs. Mary Engelman of St. Paul, Minn.; and two brothers, Carl of Medicine Hat and Constantine of Calgary.
