Mrs Schafer passed away at the home of her daughter. Mrs. E. F. Eiben, in this township, on Monday evening, after a lingering illness. The deceased was a highly respected lady, of a kindly disposition, and will be greatly missed by her many friends. Her funeral will be held today (Wednesday) at one o'clock. The services will be conducted by Rev. Scherf of the Lutheran church, of which she was a devoted member, at the Presbyterian chapel.
The German Lutheran congregation held services in the Presbyterian chapel on Sunday afternoon, and will continue to do so until their new building is ready for use.
