He was united in marriage to Miss Amelia Fahrenbruch on June 25, 1913. To this union were born three children, one of which died in infancy.
During his normal married life he was a very devoted husband and father. About five years ago, he suffered a breakdown. Since that time he has been suffering under tremendous pressure. During these years life was a heavy burden to him.
His earthly life came to its close on October 2, 1936. At the time of his death he was 47 years, 1 month, and two days old.
He leaves to mourn his going, his wife, Mrs. Amelia Wacker; two children, Mrs. Madelene Hermann and Robert Wacker; one grandchild. Sherry Hermann; also two brothers, Jake and John Wacker; and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Hein of McCook; Mrs. Alma Solomon of Culbertson; and Carolyn Wacker of York, besides many other relatives and friends.
O Love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in Thee;
I give thee back the Life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow,
May richer, fuller, be.
